The award ceremony on March 13th, 2011 at the Palais am Funkturm
The prominent Location -
The Palais am Funkturm was built in 1956/57 (architect: Bruno Grimmek) as one of the best-looking and most modern venues hosting events and guests in Germany. Today, it is still the largest ballroom in Berlin and in recognition of its historic value under preservation order. Featuring an unusual room layout and the charm of the Fifties, this venue has room for up to 2,400 guests. Many top-class events were hosted here, for example the gala of the
German Movie Award / Deutscher Filmpreis in the years 2006 - 2009.
